The best compliment I've gotten all week

I was outside playing basketball with Finn and my 9 year old nephew, Michael. I wasn't asked to play by any means, but joined their game anyway. After a few minutes of showing them by ball stealing and lay-up skills, I heard Michael ask Finn, "Has your mom played basketball before?"
Finn: "I don't know. Why?"
Michael: "Because it seems like she played in high school or something."
Does playing church-ball for 3 years and scoring a total of 2 points all three years count as "playing" in high school? Either way- thanks for recognizing Michael.

Michael, the one who knows talent when he sees it, is the one on the far left.

I saw your title and thought of a post I could write about a compliment I got this week. I'll give you a preview, OK?

I was teaching a swim lesson as part of a re-certification class for camp lifeguarding. A little 3 year old boy said, "Miss Sarah, you look just like someone I know. She's my mother's mom." I said, "Are you telling me I look like your grandma?" He said, "No, I think she's my great, great, grandma! And you look JUST LIKE HER!" Oh wait, that wasn't a compliment, but yours was. xoxoxo

That picture is funny. Jeffrey is the only one smiling. Everyone else was too tough! Congrats on your basketball expertise. I will be sure NOT to offer to play with them after your performance. They would not have much good to say about my skills.

I just have one thing to say... Michael wants to be a professional basketball player when he grows up. Should I be worried for him or excited for you, hmmm...

Mandy DID tell me that you and your friend Julie might be planning a trip to TX in Oct.!! That would be SO AWESOME!! I can't even tell you how excited that makes me! Like you said, about our two worlds coming together, it IS very cool -- whatever you need to help this come to fruition -- I'm here to help! YAAAAAYYYYY!! :)
