I want to play too!

I know many people have been putting this on their blogs and I was a bit resistant to do it- because you know I can't be like everyone else- but it has been so fun reading what everyone else puts so I had to do it. Plus I could use a good walk down memory lane. My present isn't always the best!

Heres a little game! Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time, or a long time, anything you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.Ready, Set, GO!

I remember that time you told me I'm cooler than Julie! Oh, did you want something that actually happened?? Or something I make up in my head so I feel cool!

I admit most of my memories about you stem from your children. I laugh all the time at the stories about Annie in particular, and since you're her mother, well, that is how the memory connection goes. I love the "pretend" hand washing story, when she made the sounds of the faucet when she was supposed to be washing for real. So funny.

My memories of you are always funny. I was looking through freshman pics awhile ago, and in every pic, you are dancing, laughing, or smiling. Our dorm year was particularly fun.

My favorite memory? Singing to Whatta Man back in apartment 10 at the Riv... Or how about spying on mouse girlfriend WAY back in the day? I loved the naughty side of Kari!

My funnest memory has to be taking the pictures for your Christmas letter. Eric was SO NOT in the mood and we were trying to capture everyone smiling and looking like they love each other! It was hilarious and I will never forget when all of your kids got out of the car and you immediately explained why none of them matched as if I was the Christmas card police! I love you Kari and I hope there are many more fun moments to share! I would play this game with you, but, I am pretty sure you are the only one who reads my blog! :) XXX OOO

Any memory where it seemed the world had just shut us out to have fun moments together. You know what I'm talking about!

My first impression of you was through Julie. I could tell how much she liked and admired you so I was excited to meet you. I remember coming to your "house" when you were in the process of rennovations. I remember thinking how creative you must be to have the vision to transform everything. And then coming to cooking club when everything was completed and you were so cool and collected and had it all together. I would love to feel like you appear someday. You have an inner strength that radiates.

The McMillan clique was awesome! You know everyone wished they could be in it. But you know, we were too cool for everyone else. One memory of you that I will never forget was you sitting in my front room with me many times after Lizzie died. You, Courtney, and Paula were always there to talk or take my kids, or whatever I needed. I don't know what I would have done without the McMillan Clique.

Seriously, there are too many! hmmmmm let's see... Calling Jarod F. "Dinosaur", talking in bubble language, the Brett N.-Kari C. saga! NHS football games, church softball and basketball games, church dances and our little dance we made up together and did ALL the time....pretty much all of highschool. Of course, I know I totally teased you, Kelly and Lisa, but you know I love you.

I still remember the FIRST real memory I have of you was at the beginning of our Freshman year. You and Kelly seemed so sweet with your ruffled matching bedding and you were from Atlanta and said ya'll a lot. And then I remember you told me you dated a black guy in your high school and showed me pictures. I thought to myself, "Now here's a girl that doesn't fit the mold. I need to be friends with her." Glad to know my instincts were right.

Kind of seems like a weird memory, but I just think it sums up your personality--always full of surprises! And I love you for it!!

I remember when you and Eric,Paul and I all went downtown for the first presidency Christmas address and you and Eric held hands in "the weave" and after Eric told us you were "the one" and "oh so hot!"...I think he had known you for about 2 maybe 3 dates. We liked you the minute we met you.

So I love reading all the comments of memmories before you ever met me. I got a little jealous...ya know I kinda didn't realize you were so cool before I came along. I remember our first date at the Ryan Shupe concert. I remember the first time I saw you in your glasses, no make up and PJ's and fell in love. I remember you double crossing lies while playing Sydney Bristow. And I will never forget your sweet moves at Lazer Tag...both on the battle field and off. I remember my birthday fondly...and yours and Jenny's blackmail opportunity. And most of all I have loved our many talks on the phone when we should have been doing somehting productive. I can't believe I have only known you for 3 years.

When I officially met you through Julie I thought, I know I know her, but from where??? You reminded me it was library story time! We got to know each other a little bit, but I love the moment I fell in love with the many faceted Kari. You had just set up your blog with Julie and I was so excited to check it out. Well....all it said was..."dammit, I have a blog" I was shocked. I didn't know you were anything but this cute, perfect, superlady I sort of knew nothing about. Well Kari, you keep surprising me with your depth and I love you for it!

I think the most vivid memory I have of you was the day Eric was put in the bishopric. You were sitting in the chapel with your family of small children with tears streaming down your face. I remember it so well because I knew exactly how you felt because Harold had been put in the bishopric 5 years before when Gwen was a newborn. I knew what your Sundays would be like (and then I called you to be in Primary!) You survived it well.
